Spiritual Care

Our Chaplain at Lawson Ministries Hamilton is Rev. Dora Keeping, who has over twenty years of experience in ministry services within The Salvation Army in Ontario and Manitoba.

Dora has pastored three churches and worked in corrections, both in court and detention centres. Her ministry work helping adults with disabilities has taught her more about people than she could ever learn in a school. Developmentally-challenged adults have taught her that the everyday aspects of life are more valuable than gold. Dora feels it’s a joy to wake up each day and touch a life with God’s love and compassion, and to come away more blessed by the people she connects with than by anything she can offer them.Dora is available to meet for prayer, pastoral visits, and chats, officiate weddings, memorials, funerals, and baby dedications. For spiritual care, Dora provides chaplaincy services to individuals we support, their families, and staff who wish to take part. She is available to meet one-on-one or in a group.
