Airborne Video Productions was established in 2009 as social enterprise collaboration with The Salvation Army Lawson Ministries. They employ video production professionals with experience, expertise and passion who also happen to have a developmental disability. The team is headed up by local film maker Mark Van Noord, who has been involved in a wide variety of innovative productions over the last ten years.
Airborne uses the latest HD video equipment to produce high quality, reasonably priced videos of a variety of genres. Some of their work includes:
- Fundraising and sponsorship: Shooting for Angels Basketball Tournament, Suicide Prevention, Salvation Army Public Relations
- Education and Training: The City of Hamilton HSR Bus Training Video Series
- Special Projects: Two entries in the Hamilton 24 Hour Film Fest
- Current projects: community awareness video for the DSA Rights Committee, L’Arche Hamilton Anniversary Video, and a collaborative project with Autism Ontario, Hamilton Chapter.
The Airborne Video Productions studio is located on the lower-level of the Paparella Innovative Arts Centre at 333 King Street East.
