On Monday October 19, 2020 we were officially declared out of outbreak status by Hamilton Public Health. Over 90 people were tested onsite and no other cases were confirmed to be found of COVID-19. The staff have done an amazing job ensuring that there was no direct contact or transmission of the virus at the site.
We are continuing to use all personal protective equipment, complete regular screening and complete enhanced cleaning protocols at all program sites.
We are taking some time to review the essential visiting schedules and community activities, so please be patient while we prepare to move forward. We are closely monitoring all messages from the province and from Hamilton Public Health authorities to determine our next steps as a multi service agency.
Stay safe and wash on!
Happy Retirement, Guy!
Please join us in wishing Guy Paparella a fantastic retirement. Guy has been an integral part of the City of Hamilton for over 25 years. He started at the former Town of Flamborough as a Senior Planner and continued to have a flourishing career with the City of Hamilton holding many notable positions including Director of Growth Planning and Chief of Staff to the Mayor.
Guy has given greatly to the City of Hamilton, but he has also given significantly to the community as well. Guy is the Founder of the Paparella Innovative Arts Center program. A program that supports the autistic community by promoting expression through visual arts.
Guy’s parting wish is to bestow a much needed gift upon the Paparella Innovative Arts Center. In lieu of a retirement gift he has asked for a donation to the the Paparella Innovative Arts Center to ensure many in the community may continue to enjoy and thrive through the programs offered. We want to thank Guy for all he has done for the Hamilton community and the Salvation Army Lawson Ministries! Thank you Guy, we cant wait to see what the future holds for you!
